Spoons are OverRated!

Well,
I thought I would share a fun moment I had with Noah last night.

Noah has been such a big boy and eating so well. So, I thought it would be fun to let him feed himself some ice cream, from a big boy bowl and spoon. It was priceless.

I think these pictures will best be described if I attempt to write what Noah was thinking..
Here goes...

Ah, Ice cream ey? Sounds good Mom, I'll just dive right in with my hands, no? You want me to use a spoon?? Ok Ok, I will give the spoon a try...
mmmmm Ice cream...
Oh Mom..my other hand needs to help too...Ah...much better...

Oh ice cream ...I love you!Ok Spoon...it's just you and me...and runny ice cream that I can't seem to pick up...
You are my Everest!
I will conquer you!!

And...the aftermath in the tub!
In other news...Noah has been getting into his drawers lately. You see, the other day I had some sweet friends over, we were busy making dinner and it got quiet..too quiet...so I found Noah...in his drawer...and when I say IN, I mean it in the most literal of the term....here's proof...
What a silly kid...gotta love him!!
Daddy...we sure hope you loved these! Noah can't wait to do sillier things with you!!!

A well deserved NOAH update!

It occurred to me that I haven't posted about what the lil dude is doing as of late! Silly me! Life is sure busy around here with the man walking and talking. Just within the last month of us being here in Germany he is doing so much.(Cute Aggie Band Overalls..provided by Erin:) Thanks Erin..they are still a lil big! LOL:)
Walking. Yep, you guys know he is already. We try to walk in public when we can, I get the "proud Mommy" feelins when I can walk with Noah holding my hand in public. Its great. He's not really good at walking with a purpose...if there is anything on the floor..he spots it..we have to keep him constantly focused on walking..not stopping to pick up trash...or his favorite right now, flowers! He loves stopping to pick the dandelions.
Talking. The boy is a babblin fool. Right now, his most clear words are Dada, Mama...tatu (thank you) Papu (puppy). He's also adorable when he sees Daddy's picture, he goes to the picture and says "muah" (giving Daddy kissies) :) Its the best.
Eating. He is eating so much better these days. I took some photos of him eating some good things..PB&Js, that was his very first one, and he loves those.just like his Daddy.
Beans...He usually eats them.
Playing. As you can see, the boy is silly. He loves sitting in his old bath tub...He loves grabbing books and turning the pages as I point things out to him. He is into everything, as you can imagine...
We have another video conference coming up on Friday and we can't wait to see Jon again! YAY!

What do yall think? Pretty disturbing huh?
All the more reason to really love my reusable bottles:) Go get one..they have them in all kinds of fun designs, colors, shapes...even for babies!
This site is pretty neat....kind of pricey..but think about what you are investing in. I thought this water bottle was genius!!!
A reusable water bottle with a filter lid...you can drink water from any tap now:) That's kinda cool!

Day trip to Bamburg

This last week, Jon's buddy, Keri, came to visit us. She just took a job teaching English at a German school south of us, and we were more than happy to have visitors..especially ones that are from the US! We are pumped that she will be living just hours from us, the more peeps here..the merrier!
So, we decided to visit Bamburg for one of our day trips. We know another buddy from Jon's Corp days at A&M that lives there, so we drove down to see the town and have dinner with Travis!
It was such a great time. Bamburg is very fun to shop in and it's nice because there is river that runs through it.
So, here are few highlights from our day out in Bamburg!
This is Noah...with cool hair for the day!Us on a bridge..More bridge...hey...there's a lot of water to cross people!

Noah and I...we got him an Easter Bunny cookie...which he loved...and wanted to eat ..ALL of!Mom and Noah:)
Noah stopped to play and pick flowers for awhile...Noah seeing Travis again...he wasn't walking the last time he saw him...he grew up! :)
The last pictures are for Jon...as we crossed the bridges, we noticed canoes..not too exciting, until I realized they were going through canoe thingees? Im not sure what they are called, but I knew Jon would be pumped and would have jumped in one and tried it out! So Jon...I hope you like these!

Easter Review...

So, I have a lot to post about, as usual, Im way behind.
I won't go in order of events, I will just start with the latest, Easter.
We had a great time.
First off, I decided to spruce things up this year, do a lil something different, so I went for it, I dyed eggs naturally. That cute Easter card was from our sweet friend's Jay and Gina...so I thought I'd use it in the pictures:) Thanks Gina! ;)
Anyway...I used spinach, blueberries and raspberries to dye the eggs. Sadly, only the blueberry ones really turned out. The raspberry color was pretty, but the eggs didnt really take it, and the spinach just made me laugh, I described the color to Jon affectionately as "pondscum!" hehehe. But, it was still lots of fun to do things naturally. I already have more ideas for next year's natural eggs:)My friend said they really looked like rocks..the colors faded over night...I still thought they looked pretty cool!
Second, My landlords, yes you all know they are amazing...well they insisted that Noah be a part of the Easter Hunt. They have their daughter and granddaughter in town, and they absolutely love Noah. So...Here's a few pics of him..enjoying his Easter Bunny goodies!By the way....yes, that is Noah taking a huuuuuge bite of his chocolate bunny! Noah inherited his Pappy's love for chocolate...My Daddy's love for chocolate lives on through Noah...LOL..and his Auntie Aim!
That is Ana Sophia, my landlord's granddaughter....she adores Noah!
Im not sure if you can read that package...but it definitely says "Seasame STRASSE" !!!! Heheehehhe! Gotta love German goodies!

Then, it's a Houston family tradition to bake a lamb cake. I felt very honored this year because Jon's Grandma T gave me my very own lamb mold!!! I was so excited. Here's the finished product. My lamb wasn't exactly the way I wanted it to look, I was super rushed Easter Sunday and didn't have quite the amount of time I would have liked to decorate my lil lamb. But it was still a huge success. I used a butter pecan cake mix and made my own buttercream icing and it was amazingly good!
Hooray for happy Easter memories.
We sure missed Jon/Daddy...

Hoooooray...exciting news also...Aimee and Chris leave tonight for Germany! They will be here tomorrow!!!

Hair Cut!

Yes, I'm sure you all guessed it.
So, I wanted to wait till Jon could be here, but that wouldnt be till September...I had discussed it with Jon, and he said "cut that boy's hair!!!" ...I didnt tell him when I did it. I just cut it, and mailed off all the lil man's hair to him! Hoping that Jon would get it and realize his lil dude's hair was finally cut. However, when we had the video conference, Jon noticed that his hair was cut. It was cute though, that his Daddy noticed. Of course I have pictures. I didnt want to take him to a professional, I figured me and Jon could do it again when he comes, so I just trimmed what I could.
He just sat on MiMi's bathroom counter and I cut..while he entertained himself with her jewelry.
I think he looks cute:)
me in action..
and still more cutting...
Here's the back...and the sides...
and some hair to send off to Daddy...Noah wasnt ready for the pic...
Here's a good picture of him with his new haircut right before we left for Germany. I think he looks like a whole new kid with his new do!
Also, in keeping with tradition, before I left for Germany, we went out to eat at Benihana's with Jon's family, my Mom, and of coure Aimee's in-laws because we love them too! Here's some silly pictures of Pawpy keeping Noah entertained while we waited....LOL...Next I have to post pictures from my neighborhood, spring has sprung here in Germany...and everyone's preparing for Easter around here...its so darn cute!
