Traveling graces...

As a mom traveling alone with a baby...you get stressed out! Fortunately, the Lord is good...and He provided for me more than I could have ever dreamed! Observe...the ease with which one stressed out Momma can travel through an airport, and KEEP her sanity
The GoGo Kidz Travelmate

This amazing thing was my saving grace for traveling. We caught everyone's attention and kept getting comments about how cool it was. Noah loves his car seat and sleeps quite well in it, so it was just the perfect fit! You have to know, my flight over to the States was highly traumatic...no one really helped me...it was awful!!! I expected more from Americans! LOL So...as my time in Texas ended, I knew I had to have this...and it was worth every single penny!!! I didnt even have to take the thing off the seat on the plane..I pushed that puppy all the way to my seat...with one free hand I might add...and stuck it on the seat..it was a lil tricky moving it all the way to window..but it was awesome!! I mean awesome. This time, travel was a breeze, and I no longer have anxiety about making the flight again at the end of the Summer...because I know my GoGo Travelmate will be with us! :) It makes our great car seat into a handy dandy stroller!!! I also invested in a nifty bag that is bright red and says "gatecheck" on it, so my stroller could fit inside it and didnt get messed up through baggage handling. Altogether the flight back over to Germany was a hit!

YES, it is worth the money, especially if you are traveling fools like we are these days. Being a military family, I have learned that things like this, save a lot... a lot of stress and anxiety in the long run, and are worth it if it makes the traveling a breeze! We travel so much, and will continue to do so for a couple more years, so we thought it was a great investment!

I know what you are thinking...she posted about this silly travel aid...YES! YES I did..this lil thingee deserves all the credit for the ease with which I traveled through the airport. God was soooo good to us! Everyone, your prayers for traveling graces could not have been more felt! Thanks to everyone!

For now I will leave you with 2 pics...of which something on Noah has dramatically changed and is no more! (pictures of the event to come)

...hint..you can see it blowing in the breeze

She's loves that lil Narn so much and had so much fun with her lil Grandson....and she is the Happy Meal sneakin queen...Noah loves her for that!...and all his super cool happy meal toys! teeheheheMy in-laws, although it seems weird to call them that, because that normally implies a negative connotation...they are amazing...just like family...we are family, we love them...dearly. Noah's Pawpy, Mimi, Shantie and Uncle Mark..yep, they're so great. They are loved...dearly. Oh and by the way, this is Noah's favorite spot, his lil perch on Pawpy! It was so precious to see their sweet lil relationship develop over the months, Pawpy, you are so loved! My sister....and her hubs...mmmmm just great.and hooray, they are coming to see me soooon! play time

Noah has been having quite a bit of fun these days. For awhile the weather was really warm and fun.
Mimi and Pawpy got Noah a nice big crab sandbox, we affectionately call "crabby".He really enjoyed it, tried to eat sand..Then he wanted to play in the waterPawpy took him for a spin around the yard...
And water the backyard...Just plain cute wouldnt you say?
He also enjoyed dancing along to American Idol the other night...too funny! We also had a fun dinner the other night with Noah's Great Grandma and Grandpa Houston:)
Then, some old friends got together this weekend, and we had a grand time! The whole gang...It was so great to see these old friends, it did my heart good:)
and of course the obligatory pose...of me and my bestest:)

catching up....

It seems to be a trend with me, I feel like I'm never quite fast enough at posting all our events. I know there are so many fun things that I forget to post. It might be wise to start a running list of all our events as they happen so I can remember when I sit down here and write.

Noah took a few more steps on his own today! Hooray for the lil dude!...but like I said, I'm not quite ready for him to walk yet!

My time here in Texas is slowly winding down...the time has really gone by so very fast. I have had a blast here and I know it will be difficult to return to Germany...but I am eager to get back my "German life" :)

So, here are a bunch of pictures of things we have been up to in the last 2 weeks:)
We took Noah to the rodeo...here he is with his big boy cowboy hat.He had a blast in the Petting zoo....and Daddy called while we were there!!!Noah had his very first taste of Spaghetti! (It was valentine's heart shaped pasta)Noah eating a popsicle...he has so many teeth coming in..sometimes a popsicle just does the trick!

Jon's Grandparents from Dallas are visiting with us right now...super fun
with GiGiAnd TioNoah in his Daddy's Victory Garden that his mom made for himNoah playing with rocks! They are way cooler than toys!Lastly, we took one of the wounded soldiers from Jon's Battalion out to the Riverwalk ...they enjoyed getting to see the best of San Antonio...and great Mexican food!
