What's been going on...
Well...I've got a lot to say...as usual..seems to be the trend lately huh?...
So, to kick off this blog entry...I successfully made baby food! Hooray! It was so much fun, with the help of a sweet friend I met here...We managed to make: Sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, green beans, avocados, pears, and squash. We froze them in icecube trays and then bagged them up...and I was so pleased with how much we got out of the food we made!

Noah really enjoys his homemade goodness I assure you!

YAAAY! Daddy time! We got to go for a short visit to where Jon was training! It was wonderful! We had such a great time with our love! Gosh we miss him terribly, and so it was fantastic to see him, even if it was just for a few hours. Jon missed us lots:) We feel so very loved!
Hmmm...Noah updates, well the lil dude is pretty much sitting up on his own. Sometimes I come in his room, and find him in his crib like this...well...check the picture slideshow...
I also bought a great playpen for him (a great suggestion from a friend back home)...He loves it!
Here are some other cutie patootie pics...on the slideshow...since I had too many to post...
His Auntie Aim sent us some way too cute onesies...Jon's fav is the red shirt with the tie..and mine is the puppy dog tails one.
I also think he will no longer have his adorable lil gummy smile soon...I can feel two lil bottom teeth coming...so, any day now our lil man will have teef! Sniff...he's growin up so very fast. He's also moving around like crazy. I put him in the playpen on one end...and when I turn around, he is sitting up on the complete opposite side...Oh he is precious!
Just be prayin for us...this next month is going to be extra tough without Jon!

Just a spoon full of....Rice Cereal..and baby food too:o)

So, we officially started feeding Noah real baby food! Hooray! It all started like this....with rice cereal...
.jpg)
Notice the concentration of the men....
Then he started baby food! yay! So far, he has had squash...yum

....sweet potatoes, um not really into those...prunes, which are hilarious because it looks like he is eating chocolate....and just today..Nanners! So funny, because the bananas have been the sweetest thing he has had...and he made a horrible face when he tasted them, LOL, the face you would expect from prunes or some other veggie...nope this kid made the bad face for bananas! But, he ended up liking them.
So, Im going to be super duper adventurous next week and start making my own baby food...

so ladies...give me advice if you have any!! I would love tips on making, storing etc.
The funniest part of Noah eating right now seems to be that he is more interested in his bibs than the food!!

He keeps trying to eat the bibs!!!! TOO funny!
Here's Noah tellin Daddy he digs the food!!

and I think he was tellin him to sneak him some chocolate! ..hehehe
Oh this kid melts my heart!

UGH! It's that time again!!!!
yep...

This amazing man...that puts a beautiful smile on my face....

The man who serves me and loves me and protects me and would do anything for me...

Yep, that man...has gone away for more training!45 days to be exact!!! Boohooo...so, You know what that means! I need your help! Calling all of my friends and family...I need you. Desperately need you, check on me, talk to me, let me know you are there. Just be there. Let me know...Last time Jon went away I was stubborn and waited till I got terribly depressed to ask for help...so...Im asking! Please pray for me and Noah to be comforted during this time of separation from our loving husband/father. Please pray for Jon, that he would be successful in the field, and excel at being a platoon leader.
Guys, I need you. Just as the body of Christ needs each other. During these times I must lean on you guys, and be comforted by your support. I know most of us are separated by miles and a pretty big stinkin' ocean! But, please don't let that stop you from checkin in on me and Noah. Please call, please write, please email. You guys help me more than you know. Remember, if you havent, get skype, its great. We can chat without paying international fees. Also, remember, sending mail doesnt cost much either, you don't have to pay international fees.
I heart you all! I know we are far away...but don't forget we are here, we are missing each one of you.

Munich = Monks?

Yep...Apparently, there used to be a lot of Monks there, and that is why the city of Munich's name literally means Monk...
So, we had a blast in Munich. Jon and I loved it so much, Noah enjoyed himself too of course. We decided it was our new favorite city here in Germany.
Hmmmm, Let's recap what we did...
We started our journey on the ICE train (super cool, way fast train)...so we ended up getting to Munich in less than 3 hours! Neato! Then, once we got there we kinda looked at each other and said, "Now what??" So, we decided to go to Dachau, one of the first Concentration Camps...very sad. I will spare you guys by posting the pictures, let's just say it didn't really get to me until we entered the crematorium and the gas chamber...whewww. So,....We were very glad we went after all, we learned a lot more about who suffered, and not just Jews, lots of other innocent groups suffered as well, like Catholic Priests and a lot more.
Then, the next day we took a free tour, like we did in Berlin...learned a lot about Munich's history. It was such a great city. Unlike Berlin, which saved a lot of money post World War II by rebuilding with more modern architecture...Munich spent the big bucks and reconstructed a lot of the old structures. So, your sterotypical idea of what Germany looks like is captured there in Munich, it was great!
Then, we visited the English Garden...AAAmazing! This place was soooo cool and huge! I couldn't believe how beautiful and big it was. I thought it would probably make Central Park look like a kiddy park. Seriously, it was way cool. Jon rowed me and Noah on the small lake in a row boat:) hehe!
Then, the next day we visited the Castle Nymphenberg...Which was also super huge! I mean there were trails and gardens everywhere! I kept asking Jon.."I wonder what the people that live here say to themselves when they are bored...You wanna go walk around the castle ground? Go for a jog? Let's go jog around the castle.." No big deal?! LOL. Seriously!
So our trip ended very nicely, complete with a sweet lil Nun waiting for the train with us, she ended up forcing us to take 5 Euro from her..for lil Noah..she thought he was just sooo cute!
I hope you enjoy our pictures...I have tons, but I had to force myself to post the best ones...We also enjoyed a lot of good German food while we were there. We are already planning to go back when we have vacation time again! Enjoy!
PS...We miss everyone...SEND MAIL! It sort of brightens our day...well lets be honest..it really brightens our whole week!!! And...its not like you have to pay international postage fees guys...Just send a letter...:)Care packages are also welcome:)
