My husband...
He's just down right AMAZING!
I don't know anyone else like him.
He is my Hero, and I know Noah will agree to this too.
There are a million and one reasons why I feel this way, so let me just name a few...
Who else would wake up every morning super duper early, NOT COMPLAIN...and go to work, sometimes stay super late...and never complain, nope in fact he just asks how he can be a better leader! Right now, thats the hardest thing for him, being away from his wife and son...and he does it so well, without complaining...because he knows God has a plan, God put us here, our lil family for a reason. He knew we would be strong enough to endure long periods of time away from each other. It makes me want to cry when I think about some things he missed, that most husbands would be so upset about, not Jon. He just praises God for the time he does have with us.
He's got such a servant's heart.
He doesn't give in or compromise what he believes in....even when it may seem like he's the only one.
He is quite a stud if you ask me ;) hehehe. I mean seriously, he does PT early early every morning...lol
He sings Noah to sleep with the sweetest songs...and it melts my heart.
He cares for me, even when Im not sick...I don't think I have ever EVER asked Jon to do something and he complained or said no.
He is a simple man.
He enjoys his family and playing with us. He would easily pick playing a game with me and Noah over watching TV, or doing anything else that falls into the typical man activity category.
I just love him so much. He is my hero! Noah thinks he's pretty stinkin' beyond awesome too! (if he could talk..I know that's what he'd say!)
Where we're learning that when life gives you lemons...there's a lot of squeezing involved to make lemonade...but it sure is sweet!!!

What we've been up to with the Farmilee :)
So, we have been very much enjoying our visit with Jon's family. We picked them up from the train station last Friday night and we hit the ground running. To kick off their stay, we took them to Wurzburg. We showed them all the highlights that Jon and I did on our first day trip here. This included a tour of the Residence (we couldn't take pics of the inside, but trust me, it was amazing) The palace houses some of the biggest frescoes painted by the famous Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. Here is the family outside in the gardens of the Residence.

Our famous pose....

Noah even got the Mime to stop well, um, mime-ing because he thought he was too cute! :)

It got a lil sunny out...

Inside the walls of the Fortress Marionburg..

Then we went to a lovely smaller town just 15 minutes from here, Bad Kissingen, known for its healing salty water and spas. We Here we took a family photo...of our feet!
We also walked around in the freezing salty water, which is supposed to be healing and very theraputic.

Couldn't leave without mentioning that we let Noah try a lemon...hehehe. I have tried posting videos...but have been unsuccessful...so if anyone has tips on how to get videos to work...let me know!

A LONG one...but it's totally worth the read!!!
Prepare yourselves...

Let me start off by saying, GOSH! How do I sum up the last few weeks? So much has happened, I am starting to feel very overwhelmed at capturing it all on here! Seriously! There are so many things we have been up to, so let me dive right in.
I cannot go any further without mentioning two crazy things, Mohawks...and Tattoos! I know what you are thinking, don't worry...we aren't bad parents (although I was beginning to question myself there for just a brief second when Jon was BEGGING me to let him put fake tattoos on Noah!) Yep, before we left Ft. Leonardwood, I bought a box of Applejacks, and apparently, that was my first mistake...inside the box were a couple of Shrek temporary tattoos! So, Jon insisted we all get one. And we did!
We are totally cool!

Jon insisted that Noah get three....Donkey on his arm, Puss in boots on the other arm..and Shrek the Third on the tum tum!

Next, in Jon's new unit, we have this big fun day called Org day for the guys, they basically get to play sports and they have family fun stuff too. The day started out with a Batallion Run or family walk, so me and Noah geared up with Dad at 5:45am to walk with Dad!

Of course Jon and the Dads had to make sure to show the Batallion they weren't just being lazy...no no, they were PTin' Daddys!

Iron Mike's aren't for Sissies!!

The company Jon is in is well known for being, well let's just say, very spirited! Always doing something a lil different from the other companies. For instance, at the Batallion dinner, they all showed up with fake mustaches and little kid sunglasses on.

I think Jon looked like one of the guys from Tombstone?!! ha!
So, Org day could be no different...they all waited to cut their hair for a month or so...and ...yep, shaved MOHAWKS! And, I have to say, I kinda liked Jon's. However, they had to shave them off once the Battalion Commander saw them, but it was worth it...So, lil Noah had to match Daddy!! Here are a few pics!
Jon was wicked excited !!!!

Looking totally RAD!

Jon's Favorite part of his Mohawk

Jon was really sad to see it go....

So, after they all shaved their mohawks off...their company raised enough money to force the company commander to get one too...and so, he and Noah were the only ones left at the end of the day with a mohawk!

So, there is so much more to post about...the house...our trips to the Nurnburg Zoo and Berlin!! Gosh there is sooo much! But for now...I think I will let this post settle in a while...:)I will just leave you with a pic of us..my two most favorite..somewhat baldy men!
