Testing the waters.....

This is my first official attempt at this new thing we like to call blogging! I think its so great that we will be able to use this to keep in touch with all of our family and friends.

So how's married life one may ask? Actually it's the question of the day around here. Well, its down right AWESOME!!! God is so good, I cannot say enough good about being married! Marriage is such a blessing, a gift, a joy. Being married to a man who is such a spiritual leader and who longs to be a man of God and encourage his family to seek after God is incredible! We are quite content! We are finally getting a routine down for the week and weekends, it feels like we're really married now! For quite sometime it felt like we were just playing married because it seemed like a dream.

No exciting updates on Jon and his Army orders. Things keep changing and God is really teaching me a lot through this whole pre-commissioned Jon experience. The number one thing I can say is to not plan on anything, because plans change just as often as Texas weather! And if you know me at all you'd know how extremely hard it is for me not to have definite plans months in advance. But that's what makes our life so awesome right now is that we are completely relying on God and trusting that He has great plans for us of which will be revealed in His perfect timing not mine.

Nothing else exciting to update except for maybe our quirky taste in music lately. Me and Jon are really enjoying music with somewhat of a foreign flavor!!! You know you are dorks when you get super excited that a store has a foreign music section and you get all giddy when you see music from "the Outback" or Celtic Bagpipes. LOL. So hilarious, I'm just glad I can enjoy strange music with Jon. I've also discovered a love for old music, that of the Billie Holiday, Ella, and Louis Armstrong type...AAAamazing. One more worth mentioning is a British singer..Jamiroquai. So good, surprisingly.

You know I think I am starting to really like this blogging thing. I have high hopes for our lil blog! Till next time...GO CHECK A FOREIGN MUSIC SECTION, its just funny what one can find!!!

Encouraging verse to leave you with: "May the Lord lead you into a greater understanding of God's love and the endurance that is given by Christ." 2 Thessalonians 3:5 Pray for God to really reveal himself, his love to you, seek after His face. That is my prayer for myself for the week, I hope it will encourage you as much as I know it will encourage me!
